Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Android application Water Streak
(com.waterstreak.tracker, "the app") handles information. It applies to the app
only, not to any website or other product.
For any privacy question or request, contact: developertechxmd@gmail.com.
Water Streak works entirely offline. It has no sign-up, no login, and no backend service. Everything below is written to your phone's private app storage and never transmitted to the developer:
| Stored data | Why it exists |
|---|---|
| Daily water intake, per day | Draws your progress ring, calendar and history |
| Daily goal, and units (ml or oz) | Your target and how amounts are displayed |
| Wake and sleep hours, reminder interval | So reminders only arrive while you're awake |
| Streak counts and freeze-protected days | Powers streaks, achievements and streak freezes |
| Unlocked achievements and themes | Remembers what you've earned |
| Timestamp of the last full-screen ad | Enforces the limit of one such ad per 72 hours |
None of this is personally identifying. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or health-account credentials.
The developer operates no server and receives no data from the app. There is no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no cloud sync. Specifically, the developer does not collect your hydration history, your goals, your reminder schedule, your device identifiers, or your location.
The app is free and supported by advertising through Google AdMob. This is the only third-party service in the app, and the only reason it uses the internet.
Three ad formats appear:
To select and measure ads, Google may process your device's advertising ID, IP address,
general device and operating-system information, and how you interact with ads. The app also
ships Google's Privacy Sandbox components (Topics and
Attribution Reporting), which Google uses for interest-based advertising and
conversion measurement.
This processing is carried out by Google as an independent party under its own terms. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Shows your hydration reminders. Optional — decline it and the app still works, just silently. |
INTERNETACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Loading ads. No other network use. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | Restores your reminder schedule after the phone restarts. |
WAKE_LOCKFOREGROUND_SERVICE | Lets the scheduler wake briefly to check whether a reminder is due. |
AD_IDACCESS_ADSERVICES_* | Added by the Google AdMob SDK for advertising and measurement. |
The app requests no access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, files, or health data.
Android's built-in Auto Backup is enabled for this app. If you have device backup switched on, Android may copy the app's settings and hydration history to your own Google Drive account, so your data returns when you reinstall or move to a new phone.
That backup belongs to you and your Google account — the developer has no access to it. You can turn it off in Android Settings → System → Backup, or delete existing backups from your Google Drive settings.
Your data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. To delete it:
Because the developer never receives your data, there is nothing held elsewhere that needs to be deleted. Data that Google holds in connection with advertising is governed by Google's own policy and retention rules.
Water Streak is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). The developer does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, contact the address in section 1 and it will be addressed.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data — for example under the GDPR (EEA and UK), the CCPA/CPRA (California), or the LGPD (Brazil).
For data held by this app, you can exercise all of these yourself: the data lives on your device, you can view it in the app, and clearing the app data or uninstalling erases it. The developer does not sell or share personal information, because it never receives any. For advertising data held by Google, exercise your rights directly with Google using the links in section 4.
If the app's data practices change — for instance if a new service is added — this policy will be updated and the effective date at the top will change. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
